Its a bargain for the price, the rooms were almost completly clean, and the food is great.
I stayed here for the first time last night... Every other place I went to was either full or not open so I was kinda stuck having to stay there... The man working the front desk last night was awesome... Very nice and helpful... Probably the only good part to our stay here... The room was not the greatest but for the price it's to be expected... There was no dead bolt on the door for extra security and just a knob that could easily be broken into... There were holes in the walls and the carpet was disgusting... Cigarette burn marks on the sink, toilet, and tub... There were all cigarette burn holes on the comforter and sheets... TV was an old box TV, but was clear and there were a good amount of channels to watch that included cartoons for kids... Old rusty mini fridge placed up on a table and a super dirty microwave to match... So it was fairly quiet, besides the few local people that live in the rooms patrying and getting loud at times... Apparently we were the lucky guests to be placed next door to one of these local couples that not only live in the hotel but work there as a maid and handyman... So in the morning around 10am when it was an hour before check out I had the door cracked open as my husband was bringing things down to the car and the older maid literally just opened the door and walked right in without knocking or announcing herself... When she realized I was in the room she didn't even apologize for intruding and just rudely told me it was check out time... After checking out and driving about 5 minutes away I remembered that I left one of my prescription medications on the bed while packing... I immediately turned around and drove back... In the less than 10 minutes it took me to get back the maid and two scary looking tattooed men were in the room cleaning... I went right in the room and the sheets were already changed and the same comforter was nearly put back on the bed... I asked the maid if she'd found my prescription and she played dumb... When I told her that I know where I left the prescription and I was calling the sheriffs department she all of a sudden said that there was another maid and her boyfriend in the room before her so she was going to ask her... The other maid and her boyfriend with tattoos all over his face came in the room and said they didn't find anything, but would help me look for it... When I mentioned that if my prescription was not found and given back to me I was calling the sheriffs department and they both looked at each other and said in unison, "No... There is no need for that... We will help you find it" So, after searching all the maid carts and trash cans and still no prescription, I went to the front office to explain what was going on... The nice older lady behind the desk informed me that the owner of the hotel was out of town and that she talked to the maids already and they told her there was nothing found in the room... Needless to say I did call the police and there was a report made... My medication never showed up, but a local neighbor did inform us after the sheriffs left that he saw the tattooed man and his maid girlfriend go into the room and come out with my prescription... He told us that the couple raid rooms together all the time and steal whatever they can make money off of, even before people check out they will sneak into the room with their key and go through belongings of the guests... Since this man lives in this hotel too he did not feel safe giving a statement against these people as they are into hard core drugs and he didn't want to bring any trouble into his only home... So thank you kind neighbor for telling me the truth and I understand your position in this mess and why you couldn't be of more help to us... So, if you're planning on staying here keep your door closed and locked and don't leave anything out that could be stolen... I will never go back there again... It's a run down crack hotel and its sad that the owner will allow such low life people to not only live there, but work there and represent her hotel...
